I have just received some frags of the following:

Raspberry Lemonade Millepora:

Red Dragon Acropora:

What I'm calling a Cantaloupe Milleapora:

Sunset Montpora:

Apple Berry Montipora (One of my All Time Favorites):

Strawberry Shortcake Acropora:

Photography not my own. My frags aren't ready to be photographed as they're just in the tank being light acclimated.

I also had my Apex freeze up last night and my temp dipped from the usual 76-78 to 69.5. I'm praying that nothing bad happens because of it.

Word to the wise, Apex users: Set your fallback for your heater to ON.

More Corals!

I've also got these coming in tomorrow! All WYSIWYG purchases, so these should be the actual frags on the way.

They're all kind of variations on the same colors. Not sure yet which ones will make it to the main display.

Post up photos of the corals in your tank! Would love to see what they llok like in regular tanks and with normal lighting.

I'll try to get some up soon. But what would you consider normal lighting?

Right now, they're under a T5 fixture that is raised way off the tank for light acclimation. Will be bringing it down over a few weeks. They don't look as good today as they (hopefully) will.

Those frags in the vendors photo look highly coloured. So what I meant was I'd like to see how the frags would look in your tanks lighting. A lot of vendors use lots of Blue LED's or Actinics to improve the look of the coral.

Having said that, those are nice frags though.

I know what you mean. The aim is to get the same colors out of our home tanks though, right?

I tried to take a couple of pictures, but I need to learn a thing or two about taking them. They all came out really blue. Need to work on my white balance. I also need to get a remote. On long exposures, my pressing of the shutter creates blur. All with time and practice...

These are a few that came out ok, and represent the colors I'm seeing in person. The rest are way too blue.

Those frags actually do look nice. I can see the potential for awesome colours in those frags (other than the last one...it looks red/brown; maybe just the photo). Keep us posted on how they do.

The last one looks more red in person and should color up some more. It's pretty delicate, so I've had it in the shade for a few days, and will be moving it out over the course of time to light acclimate. Hopefully it gets even better. Also, hopefully, I can get better at taking photos.
