Hanging halide pendant question

I have a Giesemann halide pendant that includes the ballast so it is pretty heavy. I do not want to make holes in my ceiling or walls for suspending it.

This is going over a 29 gallon tank. I do not want a canopy. I want the top open as possible.

Any of you DIY gurus have a suggestion?

I use a pendant from the ceiling. I have seen a steel gantry (big L out of small tubing) to hold pendants also.

If you don't want to fasten it to the ceilng, you will have to make a gantry to hang it from. You could make it out of many different items including schedule 80 pvc pipe, iron pipe, 2x4, or lots of other things.
