Pickling Lime - Any ideas where to find?
I haven't been able to find pickling lime this year and will need to find some in the upcoming month. Anyone seen anything recently??? Andersons was out, along with Walmart.

I have a whole brand new jar of if that was like $2 at walmart, and my tank just isn't demanding enought that I can justify using it. You can just have it, do you want me to bring it to the meeting tommorow?

I found a bunch of pickling lime at the kroger on sawmill rd. just north of 270. It was a few months ago but they had a whole bunch, I think it was either in the paper isle or by the pesticides.

I buy Mrs. Wages at Kroger year round. I shop at 4 different ones and they all carry it. Look for the canning supplies near the Ziplock plastic storage containers.

Our club just did a group order from bulkreefsupply,
I was tired of hunting down mrs. wages all the time, So I ordered 22 lbs/ 5 gallons from them in the group order, price wise its even cheaper than mrs. wages. When I cleaned out my kalk reactor it has a ton of hard gray material at the bottom from using mrs. wages for the past year, not sure if all brands do that but i've heard its primarily just this one. |

Thanks guys. I will try Kroger. The dark coloration does happen overtime but I haven't noticed anything negative resulting from it with the tank.

Hey Genetics, Spikypuffer gave me a bottle of it to give to you. She gave it to me at the Eric B lecture, which was very good by the way. I will bring it to work with me tomorrow and drop it off.
