my 3 month old MH aquapod :D pics and video!
well i kind of regret not starting a diary right when i got the tank, as it would be nice to have a place to track its progress.. so i am just going to briefly describe the boring first 3 months in here in one post and then go from there hehe
i put the first water in it around august 5th, and have been slowly adding rocks and coral as i could afford them. this morning my 150w 14k sunpod arrived in the mail, and last night i bought a nice camera in preperation for its arrival... so now i am finally able to show off the fruits of my labor (and wallet) hehe i had never owned, operated or lived in the presence of any aquarium, fresh or saltwater, before i bought this one.. and so far i have had no major deaths or issues of any sort really.. so for anyone looking at this worried that it is too hard, it really isnt.. as long as you are actively interested in the tank, it really isnt nearly as big of a deal to keep one healthy as everyone makes it out to be. i have been careful, and done a lot of research, and am by no no means claiming to be anything even resembling an expert.. so if i can do it, so can you ![]() anyway, here are some pics! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ^^this is my favorite fish, his name is Mr. Burress.. named him after a janitor that worked in my elementary school 20 years ago lol and here is a video of it in action god i love this metal halide light!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOzhaPKS6Tk thanks for looking, ill post more pictures as i take good ones and add new stuff! |
