Tim, you can come see mine at any time. Here is a bad picture of mine as its up on the rocks so I can not get a true picture

Its pretty hard to believe that this piece was one of the first pieces to start these outrageous prices for chalices; now $200 is just the norm

Usually about $250 to $300 depending on lineage. Cherrycorals.com has them in stock sometimes. Reeffarmers.com is the only place to buy one to be sure of direct lineage. If you go to reeffarmers and read about the Tyree Red Alien Eye Watermelon you will see the name Dave Whitham (Aquaconnect). He is one of my best friends so that is how I obtained my two pieces. His is the size of a dinner plate. I held it for him for about 6 months while he set up a new tank.

The larger colony a few posts up looks way more brown than my red watermelon...direct from Tyree as the first auctioned piece of the red watermelon...Is it just the picture or is it brown like that in the tank??? Curious as to color as it gets larger. It seems that mine has held the red very well over time, placement changes, and fragging.

Medicine Mans is not brown. I guess it's the pic or your monitor. He did get it directly from me. As the coral gets bigger, mine has developed more pinkish red with almost a blueish speckle undertone. My colony is pushing 9" in diameter.
