You should look into the Reefkeeper Lite from Digital Aquatics. Better bang for your buck.

I'm also looking at the ACJr, so can't help you with pictures on mounting, etc. But since the Reefkeeper Lite has now been brought up, I figured I'd chime in. I was researching the upcoming Reefkeeper Lite (RKL) that DaveMorris was referring to. The RKL does not use AquaNotes which is unique to the AquaControllers. Digital Aquatics has their own software called MyReef, but it is not yet compatible with the RKL. All they are saying is that a new version will be out "later" that will include support for the RKL.

Moreover, the RKL won't start shipping til mid-Feb or so, but that's not a big deal if you're willing to wait.

Anyway, after reading about the RKL, I think I'm still going with the ACJr. The RKL is cool in that everything is modular and has "great expandability", and you can add various modules as your needs grow. But the RKL will be supporting only a limited number of modules, so the "expandability" of the RKL will get maxed out pretty quickly.

The RKL supports the PC4 module (equivalent to a DC4 power bar), the SL1 module (which is needed to monitor temp, ph, and orp, but you'll still need the respective probes), and the MLC module (lunar simulator). When maxed out, this is roughly equivalent to an ACJr with the lunar simulator (except for the orp probe port).

With either device, you're already maxed out feature-wise at that point, and the ACJr is already available today.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, and someone can correct my assumptions above. I hope to place an order for a controller this week. :-)
