V,

No colder than it was here. Daytime highs were 8 degrees, lows about 0. It greatly varies though. On Saturday when we left the temp was 25. Locals were not happy. I have ridden up there when the high temp was a balmy -25 without wind chill (and at 90mph the windchill begins to get downright chilly LOL), and just 2 years ago we had a daytime high of 56 degrees (record for the area) and we were snowmobiling without our jackets or gloves LOL. Overall, temperature isn't a factor unless it is over the freezing mark. Once you are dressed for it, -25 feels like +25. I can't ever remember being seriously cold and most the time you are rather warm from actively riding the machine. The handle bars and throttles are heated and become very hot to the point of having to turn them off because your fingers are burning.

Cuyahoga Peak is roughly 1600 feet in elevation. That is the peak where the Lake of the Clouds pic was taken. The park itself has a high point of about 2000 feet. Certainly not an impressive height, but to a flat lander like myself it warrants attention and causes my ears to pop. The cliff down is said to be a 500 foot drop off. In years past you used to be able to snowmobile right up o the edge of the cliff but when a drunk decided it would be neat to launch himself over the edge on his sled the park decided to restrict access to motorized vehicles. Now you have to walk about 300 feet up a trail to reach the edge. FWIW, the drunk landed in the trees below and lived.

If you have interest in going next year LMK and I'll keep you informed of the plans come next fall.
