Two part, which one?
What 2 part should I be dosing? I might buy it online, someone give me a link please? I know how to dose, LFS taught me, but I didn't have money to buy theirs.. (spent on corals instead)
So I can't remember the name of the one they gave me. It was a black bottle with brightly colored corals in the front. Sold for 9.99 for part A and 9.99 for part B. |

I am going to assume that you don't want to make your own -- Randy's two part recipe.
I personally use Two Little Fishes C-balance. I know that others like E.S.V's B-ionic. I get the 1 gallon concentrate and add my own RO/DI water to it, in the long run a lot cheaper that way.

It's hard to say because there are so many brands out there, but it sounds like it might have been Brightwell Aquatics Reef Code A and Reef Code B. ? http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewIt...roduct=BW01045
Brightwell Aquatics makes very good products, but I think you'll do just as well, for cheaper, with ESV B-Ionic. It is great stuff and relatively inexpensive. http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewIt...product=EV1111 I am not a fan of Kent products. |

Yeah I was going to say Brightwells too. I have no personal experience with there products, but from what I have read, while they are good products, there are VERY watered down.
I personally use and like Randy's two part. That recipe can be found here; http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-02/rhf/index.php Please read and understand dosing before you start. HTH Good luck Spleify

I use the ESV B-ionic. I buy it by the gallon and it runs $30 at my LFS for 1 gallon of each part A&B. 30 bucks for both. Not bad and I've had great results.

Brightwell Aquatics makes very good products, but I think you'll do just as well, for cheaper, with ESV B-Ionic.
Some Brightwell products are probably fine, others seem oddly designed, possibly by someone that has a poor understanding of the chemistry involved. I know nothing about what they actually put into their two part, however (as is true for all commercial part systems). I'd personally pick ESV/B-ionic over Brightwell for chemical products for my tank, although DIY is also a fine option if you are using appropriate materials.
