my bad, no flow for 10 hrs
Today I turned my circulation pumps off at 6:30am to feel my sun coral and forgot to turn the flow back on until 5pm when I got home. My skimmer was pumping all day but no real flow. How bad is it? Everything looks ok except some of the more sensitive corals are sliming a bit. Thanks.
Dave

Dave how could you do such a thing??? JK How was tank temp?? I would think the corals would be OK if temp was OK. How are your fish?

HI Cato, I know! It is crazy. I am going to make excuses and blame it on 2 hrs of sleep a night since my son was born and working full time. But, still, really no excuse. With the exception of flow temp was fine, 80 degrees, skimmer was uninterrupted and lights are on a reduced schedule so they had come on only 5 min before I got home. Fish are good and now that a few hrs have passed all SPS and LPS are open and fine. I think I dodged a bullet. I need to give my wife, who was home, a class on what to look for in the future. Thanks for the response. Do you think I am ok, long term?
Dave

I'm guessing you'll be fine. You use a HOB skimmer, right? That should have at least provided a little bit of flow as well as adding oxygen to the water. As a side note, that is one of the things I love about my AquaController. No more forgetting to turn the pumps on or, as was more often the case, not feeding for fear of forgetting.
