red sea max 250 very cool

yes i drool over that tank

65g seahorse tank 20g sump with a reef octopus skimmer ,tlf 150 reactor, red sea ozone generator controller,cpr hob fuge with light and 2 China led lights one 42x1 w and one 24x3 w. occupied by 4 ecectus seahorses a couple small gobies and cuc.

Current Tank Info: 58g main with 20g sump

well, it's a nice looking tank (I have the 34g one) but the question is: did they really address the issues the exist for the smaller version.

Skimmer on it is terrible.

Can you use any T5 in the new RSM or are you stuck with their bulbs? (which is a crazy shortcoming of the 34g one)

From what I've read and heard you can use any 39watt T5 HO lamps, and that the skimmer is actually good.

The Max 250 takes 6x 39watt std length T5 lamps. The reason the M130 & M130D takes shorter than standard length 55w PC lamps is to make them easier to fit into the aquarium, given that we wanted an aquarium of a specific size.
