Most Desired SPS

What is your most desired sps? I was at an LFS yesterday and they were selling a decent sized frag of the Pink Lemonade Acropora for $290, a 1/2" frag for $85 and a 1/4" frag for $45. I saw the mother colony in the display tank and it looked pretty awesome. Instead of purcahsing a bunch of $40 frags here and there I think I want to wait and then purchase one high end piece. So for me right now, I would like to get a pink lemonade, what do you desire most?

There were probably around 3-brances coming out of it and about 3/4"-1" long each branch.

wow!! I just sold an entire SPS frag pack with 6 nice size corals, including a pink lemonade frag that was probably larger then the one you're talking about, for less then what they are asking for the single frag. IMO, I would shop elsewhere as there are way better deals to be had.

the lemonade frag

It was similar to the one in your picture. I will pick one up at a fragswap somewhere for less. Vivid Aquariums has high prices in their store. They also wanted $85 for Red Planet frags that were sraight from ORA but pretty small.
Now I will keep my eyes open for ice/fire and rouge milli too.

I just got the pink lemonade and I'm not all that impressed, paid 50 buck for it. 85 for the ORA corals seems high, maybe you can ask for a better price? My most desired is the palmers milli, I had one but it RTN'ed.

ryshark, you can definately do better. I usually sell PL frags about an 1"+ for $45. imisky, wish I had known, I was there just over a week ago and would have brought one to you. Palmer's, IMO, is nice, but does require high light to really make the blue pop. Icefire is nice but grows oh so slow for me. My current fav is Atlantis rambleri, but so many corals and so little room.

Dave

The one I want the most is the icefire, and then probably the purple monster. I have the pink lemonade and it is one of the nicer acros in my tank. It is definately worth getting if you find the right price.

I’m going to define the “most desired” by the hardest to get, so here’s my list:

Tyree Grafted Simplex
Tyree Ice Fire Enchinata
Tyree (Alex’s) Blue Matrix
Tyree (Jason Fox) Royal Plum
