how to keep my pods going into the main tank with a BC
i have a refuigum with rubble in the back of my biocube. Should i take out the sponge filter so pods can get into the Display or can they wiggle thereself through the sponge. Also, wats the best form of macro algae to get pods going really fast? Im going to try to beat the odds and keep a mandarin so i need a big population of pods being shot in.

the back of your tank will help breed the pods and they little guys will get shoot in to the display. just to be the voice of reason, unless you get a hang on back refug a mandarin will never live past 3 months, ive been doing this for years in the retail hobby. he will not live unless you can get him to eat myises.

My sixline wrasse eats whatever pods make it from my fuge into the main display area of my BC14, so I can image a mandarin would be even more effective. Good luck.
