Recirculating Mod

I have a Coralife 125 Skimmer on my 65tall. I recently did a bio-ball mod on the stock pump and am very pleased with its performance. I was wondering if a recirculating mod would be possible on the skimmer. Do I "need" to do it? No, but do I "need" a reef tank? . . . Well yeah but thats not the point.

Basically, does anyone have any input on my mod or have any advice on something you've tried that was similar?

What do you mean I have to change the water?
