Whats happening to my caps?

Ive noticed a few white spots forming on the caps. also the orange cap has a much larger then normal white rim so i suspect its something besides growth. anyone care to chime in?
Everything else in the tank seems normal. parameters are all normal. my guess would be some kind of pest?

looks like growth on the rim, the spot could have been a pice of salt landed on it or poo sat there for a while.

Try and take out one of those montiporas and hit it with a turkey baster you should see something

I had this happen to me also but I didnt catch it in time... I was running an ULNS or alteast a LNS and my alk creeped up on me and my caps were the first to show signs. Cant run a ULNS with high alk. check to see if this is the problem

Do this i did it and it work for me get salifert flatworm exit it wont harm your corals or fish

Do half the dosing for you current tank with the pumps off close to the montiporas and then blast it with a turkey baster thay willl flow up the surface

If you see them than try a taking the coral out and dip them

Also you could get a Radiante Wrasse this will help you 100%
on all your corals

i dont believe flat worms are your issue. With the pic of the green cap I would say yes but the orange and tan cap do not follow the usual bite mark of flat worms they look like burnt tips.. just my 2 cents.

Flatworm Exit helps getting the nudibranch out it worked for me then I put a small radiante wrasse in. It took care of the rest

I really dont know if it will fight with a six line best thing always is to try

I think its the alk. That entire m. Danae superman colony of mine that has been receeding the only thing I could point to was alk at 11. Now that alk is down around 7-8, I see the colony coming back andlooking healthier already. No other changes made.

Btw I don't think lugols gets rid of monti nudies, just irritates them.
