Blue line in 250 gal reef
Do you think it will be possible to keep a pair or three blue line pipe-fish in a reef. Do they do ok with the high flow and has anyone had experience with them being sucked into the sump. Thanks.

Blue stripes? They are decent swimmers, but a pair is probably as many as I would want to chance. Males will fight to the death, and some people have had females that weren't too fond of one another. Despite their decent swimming ability, I would be careful with intakes, powerheads, and overflows. They are pretty curious fish, and very small even when full grown, and I would hate to see one ripped apart by a pump.
LOL, I was trying to imagine what your Halloween costume must have looked like (in your signature under current tanks) -- it didn't occur to me at first that you had a custom 1000 Liter tank! I'm way too literal. |
