Healing Open Brain Coral

I have bought an open brain coral in a biocube 14, it was placed on teh very top, but i placed it next to my mushrooms. The mushroom have stung the brain coral, and teh skin is receding, and skeleton is showing, I moved it to the substrate and I am feeding it directly with a little coral excel.

Any suggestions on this.

Had the same problem recently with a new Trachyphyllia. Ricordea Yumas pack a nasty sting! I did an aquarium water and Lugol's iodine dip just to help eliminate the possibility of infection. The open brain's exposed skeleton went from the size of a quarter to smaller than a dime in a few days.
