Very nice. Where did you get the square tubing for the light hanger? I like it better than the round bent tubing that you commonly see.

How thick is the glass?
P.S. Would you mind pm-ing' me the total cost of this tank as well? As you can see in my signature, I'm planning something similar to yours. Just interested in a ball park figure.

Went all out! That's the way to go! I've never heard of LeeMar. Do they just do glass tanks or acrylic also?

Thanks Snow Leopard. LeeMar is a local builder here in SoCal, I believe they only do glass tanks. I haven't seen a LeeMar that was acrylic.

Thanks SecGenGSX
I got the stand pipe installed this morning, I'm hoping it's not too short. Right now it's about 2" from the bottom of the overflow teeth to the top drain of the stand pipe. I'm going to do a water test later this week. Right now, I ran out of tubing for the sump plumbing so off to Home Depot I go...

Thanks a bunch Jeremy and Shorasp30
I got the plumbing done tonight and also added two fans for better air circulation in the stand. One pulls air in while the other pushes air out. I was afraid of noise level but they're pretty quiet. Space is getting a little tight and still undecided where I'm going to place my ATO reservoir. We'll see... Next I have to figure out the Apex controller and do some cable management. Hopefully I can do the water test this weekend and get the lights hung.

I had my sump builder make me this ATO reservoir. It holds about 7 gallons and should fit in the stand and still allow room for the dosing containers.

Wow, very nice start. Almost exactly my plans, I've got a 48x24x20 starphire rimless sitting in the garage waiting for more funding. That power module isn't cheap. Can't wait to see this completed!

Thanks a bunch, Rick. It took 6 months to get this going but well worth the wait.
I finally got water in the tank and started my cycle. I'm amazed at the amount of light the PowerModule puts out! I need to find a par meter and get some measurements. Here are some pics, comments welcomed.

I like your aquascaping with the minimalist aproach. Believe it or not I feel like I have too much rock in my main display and I only have a few pieces. It will give you so much more grow out room. My tank is already starting to get crowded . I guess it gives me a good reason to upgrade like you did,
Those Power Modules are Awesome! What bulbs are you running in it?

Your tank is definitely getting crowded alright, crowded with lots of nice corals
My bulb combo is Front Blue+ GE 6500K Blue+ UVL White Actinic Blue+ Blue+ Pro Color Blue+ I'm going to switch out the Pro Color for another 6500K bulb, per Grim's suggestion. It's a ton of light but I plan to keep mostly SPS and the PM is about 8" from the water line. A local reefer offered to let me borrow a Fiji Purple bulb so I might switch that out with the White Actinic to see how it looks. I love the ability to play around with different bulb combos.
