GFO making its way into the tank?
Hey guys is it bad if a few grains of GFO make its way into your display? I noticed that if I shut off my pump to the reactor and turn it back on a few manage to shoot up and make there way past the filter pad (im using a TLF reactor) and ultimatly into my display...

This is why I use a sock, and have the return filter empty its self into it.

Bad or good? IDK, but I do know that iron is a fertilizer for algae so in a way, bad.

Won't hurt anything as it's iron based. Aluminum based, like Phos Gard, is another story.

someone should make a filter sock for the solana, or aio's for that matter. i run my phosbans into my sock also, youd be suprised how much gfo and carbon dust makes it into the tank. the day after i change the carbon in my reactor, my sock is completely black.
