Gresham, the Tongan color variant is nice as well. Just something about the beauty of the female ventralis from Cook though. Now if you know someone that has a few in, in good shape, shoot me over a pm

Cooks are probably better cared for in the CoC as well. IMO Tongan exports of deepwater fish just aren't the same since Larry Sharron left.

What was the reason for him leaving again?

Company he worked for stopped with the MO side of collections and the permit was taken over by another is what I recall. I never really asked him though. He went on to Vanuatu IIRC... can you say feminus

(Larry took this... he also produced a beautiful poster of MO fish from Vanuatu)

His name came up in a discussion last week when we were talking about collection. Could not remember the story.

On the feminus note, beautiful fish but I almost feel guilty paying almost 3 times the price they are now selling for.

He's been around a long time and has run a lot of stations. Some of the most unique fish I ever received came from his collectors.

Gresham it looks like Kevin might have one of those Vanuata Amampses femininus wrasses going up tonight.

Matt there are 5 total in there but 3 were being shy for the camera. I might have one of my dream fish coming in so I will see how it will interact with them. Just hope they catch a small one.

Gresham, I would only do it if it was less than the last one. Atleast 200 less.

I hope your dream fish is not another small anthias. The males can be pretty relentless towards other Pseudanthias spp., even if they're larger. That's their biggest downside.

It all depends on how small they catch it but in the end it really isnt that small. It might get to big for my tank which would help push me quicker to work on my next project.

Nice vids! Are those anthias eating well? Is the dendronephthya showing any growth?

The anthias are all eating well; mysis, Cyclop-eeze, Arcti-pods, and a few other things The dendronephthya has shown growth in height and new polyps have been added. I have another video of a different cutting which the new growth is more visibly seen by. Try to post it up soon.

I have been using it 2 times a week mixed with Roti-feast, Oyster-Feast and Min F for direct dosing them.

Got messaged today that my Profilux is done being upbraded to a P3 and has shipped out from Progressive Reef Hopefully it will be here within the next 10 days from Canada. Going to try and stop be a certain reef shop in Queens (never been there before) to see what selection of items they have in stock for the P3 locally.

On a different note looking forward to going to Atlantis Marine World this weekend. The place rocks! and love the behind the scenes tour.
