Vote for February's Thread of the Month

Each month all Reef Central members are presented with a poll (or link to a poll) in the Reef Discussion forum to vote on. There will be three threads to choose from, and you are only allowed to vote once. This month we are featuring three threads from three different forums. We encourage you to follow the links provided below, to read and enjoy these threads. All three are full of information and are each equally worthy.

The winning thread will not only be made as a sticky thread in its forum of origin, but it will also be listed in the Reefkeeping Blog

To those whose threads are listed this month and all who participated in them, we would like to give our thanks and appreciation!

This months nominations are:

Ghetto Rig

How rare is this?

Why do you reef?

I have some cool tidepools over in Monterey Bay, CA but yea I can't imagine how cool it would be to have a coral reef down the street!

But..........................

I have to vote for Ghetto Rig, that had me laughing all the way through it. Who uses french onion dip as a skimmer cup!? That was hilarious

Change of though:

After scrolling down to see the rest of "how rare is this" I see that they also found a baby blue ringed octopus, so I am going to have to give my vote to them. I am jealous.

I'm torn between "Ghetto rig" and "how rare is this" but im going to have to go with ghetto simply because of the onion dip skimmer.

It's a tough one this month, Ghetto Rig and How Rare both deserve thread of the month, too bad they are both in the same month.

"How rare is this" is phenomenal... it lets the average home based reefer in on the 'real' reefs out there.

"Ghetto rig" is great... it lets us average, yet ingenious and resourceful, folks share with one another the wonderfully utilitarian solutions to our problems

"Why do you reef" is fun, but I don’t think it compares to either of these two monsters!!! I do appreciate the nomination though!!!
