Wave questions
Hi all,
I have a 180G tank with dimension: 50"x32"x26". Currently I have two MP40W positioned in opposite sides running in wave and anti-sync mode. With all the rocks and return pipes, it creates around 0.5" wave with 100% strength. I would like to increase the wave to around 1" to 1.5". Can I increase the wave by adding an extra vortech with this setup? If I add one more pump, there will be two on one side and one on the opposite side, will it affect the wave formation as there are uneven strength on one side over the other? Is it more preferred to add pumps in pair? Should I add a MP20 or must get MP40W for the (sync and anti-sync function) to increase the wave? Thanks, Eric |

Hi Eric,
By adding one MP40w you can increase the wave height by some amount (how much will depend and can't be predicted). You will need an MP40w because the MP20 doesn't have the ability to wirelessly sync. The fact that you will have two on one side and one on another won't hurt your ability to make a wave at all, more pumps will only help.
