Atlantis Shades of Fall
Anyone have the Shades of Fall from Atlantis? Can I see some pictures? I friend gave me this tiny, inconspicuous green frag before she moved up to the Bay Area, and it has since grown out quite nicely. She said it was from Atlantis, and that it gets pretty, but that was it
Here it is a while back. Sorry for the out of focus pics, it is at the very top of a pillar, and difficult to photograph. Last friday I removed the various green acros from around it, and saw that it's actually grown into a nice little mini colony

You can send me a frag then I'll have 1, JK, are you talking about the 1 on the far right? Or the bigger green 1?

Doesn't look like shades of fall to me. Shades of fall has a greenish base and pink polyps, like a greeen pink lemonade almost. Could just be a bad pic but I don't see the pink anywhere.
Honestly yours looks more like a horrida Here is a pic of a frag (not mine) |

Possibly the original shades of fall which is essentially the pink lemonade. Pretty sure the coloring is too off from what is now know as the shades of fall.

My coral looks nothing like the pink lemonades I've seen.

Oh, OK, that's closer. Just lighten the green due to low nutrients, and I think that's it. Polyp color is spot on.

Could be but that last shot is in a pretty low nutrient tank.

Hmmm, ok, I'll have to get a more recent pic tomorrow and see if things have changed since being heavily shaded by the horrida and OT....

I have one too and mine looks more like the second pic. I just don't have a good shot of it. Most of the ones I have seen in a variety of tanks have that deep lime green base. They are fairly plentiful here in the BA.
The first shot is obviously not a low nutrient tank, the second I know for sure is a very low nutrient one. |

This is from the ATL sight. I think the Op's could be the same, but it look pale were the green is.

I had it. It came from a local reefer. Mine never made it past the large frag/mini colony stage before my tank crashed.

OK, here it is after being "excavated" from a pile of ovegrowing acros. I feel bad for letting such a gorgeous coral get burried At this point I'm fairly certain it's the nasuta that Doug posted.
Anyways, it's obviously not as violet as my original pics. Hopefully now that it gets light again it'll color up more

Yours looks more like my PL which I'm sure is just a product of a different environment more so than it being a different coral.

I've seen the pink lemonade before... I don't recall it having those cup shaped nasuta coralites.
