Jacob's Coldwater Tank

This is my Puget Sound Biotope. I collect everything in the tank myself, let me know what you think.

It´s very beautiful! If cooling a tank was not so expensive, I´d have set up a North Sea tank.
My parents dragged me off to Denmark for most holidays when I was a kid. It´s their fault I became sea-addicted. :-)

That red algae looks really nice!

Love the red macro. I've never dived Puget Sound, but I'll bet it would look very similar to your tank. Excellent job. I really like unusual tanks like this.

Me too! It really seems like they are uncommon.

Its really not bad. The chiller is the most expensive part and mine was only 150$. Then again I got it from a fellow reefer. Also since most things are photosynthetic my lighting cost me under 50, basically so the macro would grow nice and fast. Cheaper than tropical haha.

Thanks! Yea I am really aiming for a biotope.
At the same time there are some nems that live more on the coast that I plan on getting so I dunno if it will stay a Puget Sound biotope for long, it might become a Pacific Northwest Biotope haha.

Could you put any fish in there or is that out of the question?

Oh I had a couple fish actually! The problem is I added too many too quickly and had a mini crash. I am going to add one or two fish again soon. I had added four, they were all very small, my anemones produce more bioload but the slow growth of the bacteria could not handle it.

Being that it's coldwater, I'm pretty sure this tank NEEDS a Catalina Goby, haha.
