killing vermetid snails

Is there any kind of "chemical warfare" I can use against them, if I put the liverock in a tank by itself?

What kills snails, anyway??

I don't think they do well in hyposalinity. Maybe put the rock in freshwater?

for the small ones, i just knock them off the rock with the edge of my knife.

for the really big ones, i have used a little reef epoxy and covered over the tube.

What if you have thousands? Like, plague proportions?

The best way is simply to break off the shells

Superglue/manual removal/crushing/scraping etc etc are good methods of control, but I want utter annihilation. There could (would) be eggs or tiny ones surviving these conventional warfare tactics.

I like the hypo idea ...

Anybody else??

Dude, just get a couple of emerald crabs. They'll be gone in a couple of weeks. If you don't jive to the thought that you have crabs, then trap out the crabs and give them to someone else. You're never going to completely eradicate them, short of boiling everything.
