If you are not in a major hurry I would look on C raigs list or check with your local reef club. There is always someone breaking down a tank and looking to get rid of some rock. This is usually a good way to get live rock cheap. Or you can but mostly dead rock and seed it with some live rock and let it cycle. It will become live rock.

I've had good luck on eBay with uncured Haitian rock for about $1/lb, but then again that was 5 years ago.

It's way cheaper to buy dry rock from either BRS or Marco's and seed it with some LR. Both places carry very good quality DR. I used the Key Largo rock from Marco's and a couple pieces of the Pukani from BRS.
