New koralia nanos
Does anyone know if the new Koralia nanos can be run on timers with out the noise?
I know the bigger models can witht he shaftless propeller. But these pics from reefbuilder shows that the nanos still have shafts. http://************.com/2010/01/21/n...rriage-peeped/ Last edited by micrors4racer; 04/03/2010 at 05:38 AM. |

I just got the 425 last week. I do not have it on a timer but I plan on buying another and putting them on one, so I tried to see if it would make noise.
I can unplug/plug it in & it only makes one small sound. A barely perceptible click when the prop starts. I also tried plugging it into a power-strip & turning it off & on. No loud banging or lagging or repeated sounds, just one tiny click. I tried it at many time intervals & it's only made the one small click any of the times it restarted. I'm very pleased with it and plan on getting another a.s.a.p.. I know this isn't exactly answering your question but maybe close enough? Hope it helps. ![]() Edit: I also did a internet search on the new koralias a couple weeks ago, & quickly found some nice info on them including testing on wave-timers with good results as far as sound.
