PipeFish - Suseptible to Marine Ich?
Hello hello RC,
Today while getting a few shrimp for my semi-new system, I saw a banded pipefish for sale at the LFS. Now, I'm a big believer in proper quarantine but am unfamiliar with these types of animals. Any regular fish, like an angel or clown, can host Marine Ich in their gills and on their body. I am familiar with this and have taken many fish through QT over the time ive been in the hobby. This begs the question, Can pipefish also host Marine ich? I know they are very similar to seahorses but am still unfamiliar with them as well. Ive never heard of them or seen them showing signs of Ich but is this misleading? Thoughts? Ideas? Comments? Thanks, Jim |
