I type in my nick, hit connect and it goes through somekind of login then a big black box with a reefcentral tab but nowhere to type anything What am I doing wrong ?

Are you using Internet Explorer? If so, try an alternate browser, like Firefox or Chrome.

or is it generally not a good idea to discuss reef related subjects any time on the chat site

can reef related topics be disguised ?

example, My fireball Angel is a Zombie, and it pecks at my brain coral , should I remove it?

would that kind of reef related question be acceptable in chat?
would that kind of reef related question be acceptable in Friday night chat?

Just to reiterate. If you pop into chat, say hello, then quit within 10 seconds, there's not a lot we can do for you. While there are some idlers, there are also people who will respond to your questions/comments/whathaveyou. You just need to have a little patience as we're all not there anxiously awaiting your arrival! HTH.
