Sfiligoi VISION

Sfiligoi has broadened their already impressive model lineup with the introduction of their plasma, or LIFI, fixture. Sfiligoi has taken the design of their already successful flagship Infinity XR6 and implemented this new plasma technology. Sfiligoi Vision offers the following features:

- "Electrode Less" Plasma system
- Complete Light Emission system, very similar to sunlight
- Long life, up to 50 000hrs
- Increased output at much lesser consumption
- Dimmable between 100-20%

Pic of the prototype:

What color spectrum is the plasma bulb in? I had heard it was somewhere in the 6,500k range. Is that correct?

Thanks!

Yes, while the lamp is at 100% the peak temperature is around 6500k but from what I am learning its a different, and more natural than that of a MH lamp. Also, while dimming, the plasma is said to produce a change in color spectrum to a very blue kelvin once reached 20% intensity. This is also much more representitive of the natural sunlight than what MH are capable of. I hope to get more info on this and of the performance of the plasma technology soon.

Are there any updates on release time? I read that they had pricing starting at 1000 but no signs or public release.

Sfiligoi has already sold some in Europe and they are just preparing the final details and pricing for here in North America. I can tell you the pricing will be higher than the "$1000" fixture you are referring to ans Sfiligoi's Vision Plasma will also far exceed in performance, quality and functionality.

To everyone patiently awaiting pricing on these fixtures, we can tell you it will in fact be finalized this week with all details and model configurations.

In the meantime, here is a couple pics of a Vision single pendant over a 2m (78") tank in Europe. Pretty incredible considering the lopsided angle it is suspended at!

Also, here is the render of the Dual Vision 48" model expected:

The beauty of the 0-10v DC dimmable interface is that when using of one the suggested controllers, or simple by way of manual dimmer, you can set a peak intensity to which the light will illuminate until and this will also provide a more bluer look.

The first Sfiligoi Vision due for North America is currently in production and due to arrive on the new 225g show tank at Reef Raft sometime early November! We are looking forward to its arrival and to display this fixtures potential. It will consist of dimmable control of both Plasma and T5's via the Sfiligoi Link controller and be sporting an attractive powder blue enclosure. Stay tuned....

I'm thinking I might try a single of these over a 180 first before trying a large large tank. Would have enough spread to get the majority of a 180gallon tank? I plan on attaching stunner strips throughout the canopy for nighttime viewing

What are the dimensions of the tank?

We plan to illuminate our 225g which measures 48"x42"x26"H with a single pendant Vision.

Actually I don't think it will be 180 gallons, it will be more, it should be 72 x 24 x36, Acrylic. I was hoping to see a slightly better color with the t5 bulbs, but i guess that could just be for my evening viewing pleasure and let the corals enjoy that natural sunlight during the day. Please post more pics as you get the.

Here is a shot of a single Vision Plasma alongside a Sfiligoi Infinity XR6 equipped with 2x250w MH and 4x54w T5. Pretty impressive.
