ID Please.. Is it a mushroom??
After a few months I have not put anything new in the tank.. And then this shows up.. At first it looked like a polyp. Then it got bigger and has octopus like arms and long tentacles. It eats very well and grows rapidly. I have not started paying much attention to it till now. I at first thought it might be a walking dendro.. but I dont think so now. I have never seen a mushroom that looked like this. I have enclosed photos of different angles..
Oh and now it is about the size of a quarter, but with feeding I see that it rapidly grows. Anyone??? It held up side down Top view Long tentacles vsible.. Side View Thanks in advance... Vinny |

It does look like a LPS.
Wave you hand over it to try and make the it retract, you should be able to see a coral skeleton |

Very cool. Thanks... It does retract with no light and closes up.
Thanks for the responces I searched and never found one that looked like this. It is a cool freebie that popped up out of nowhere. Thanks again for all your responces, I am going to do some reading about that coral now... |
