Im using the novus #3 to remove scratchs on a 90 gallon. The tank is dry and it is taking alot of time, but they are slowly coming out. Hope this helped.

Novus is not supposed to be used inside of a wet tank. I use it only on the outside of the tank for a final rub down after servicing an acrylic tank. To get scratches out of the inside of a full tank I use a product from sea visions, works great!! http://www.seavisions.com/images/magnets.htm.
I little pricey from the onset, but once you have the magnets with inserts then all you will have to buy is the micron pads. HTH

sorry, I have zero knowledge about that product. But i read the write up, and with the exception of the finishing polish, it seems as though you can use it underwater. HTH.
