Who's got a big one??

A lot of the threads are filled with a chalice the size of a nickel!

Does anyone have a large or monster sized chalice?

I've wondered this exact same thing. I didn't even know what a big one would shape like.

Here's mine...about 4" x 6". Not the most impressive looking piece, but fits the bill of being bigger than a nickel.

Not mine, but here's a more mature colony from the Aquarium of the Pacific. It's easily 4 feet across if not more (and I took this shot several years ago, so no clue how big it is now).

Cosmo4

I have the same exact piece. Mine is around 5" around.
It has 2" long feeding/stinging tentacles.

Nice piece, took me a long time to figure out it was stinging other corals.
I have to keep it somewhat isolated.

Ok, now what to do them?
Comes a point where they begin to take too much room.

Cut them back or sell/trade?

Cool, I didn't even know they plated like that! I'm so used to seeing frags I thought they just covered the rock structure
