so far the first baby from the nuclear death is a nuclear green which happens to be on the side of the green.

in a few weeks I'll try to hybridize the candy apple red and everlasting gobstopper.

if this works it should be a nice hybrid imo

I'm crossing my fingers for some hybrid zoo's. What lights are you using? I'm working on setting up a 90G.

My other hybrid which is not split half and half in the middle but has 25% purple then 25% green,25%purple, 25% green has a new baby and she is identical to her mother.

lights etc are:

29G,4 x t5 h.o,mp10,3 x nanno hydor koralia,fluval 305 canister filter,2 phosban reactors,30-45lbs L.R,3" dsb,high end zoa/paly.

29G cube, ATI 24" 6x24W powermodule, 2 x vortech ecosmart W mp 10,15G sump,4xt5 h.o algae turf scrubber,30-45 lbs L.R,high end zoa/paly's,1"-2" dsb, mag 3 return.

the cube will be set up in a few weeks

When I had a 90G I loved the tek lights that were 8 x t5 but the only thing is that it overhangs by 1/2-2 inches in width

I'm sure 6 t5 h.o on a 90G would look nice aswell or a 7 retro I would diffenently not go with 4 t5 because the color just isn't maximized imo 4 t5 should be for zoas that are less then 16" from the light.

First attempt @ zoas

Here are the solid color morph's I am attempting to mix together to create a single different color morph:

blue/green

orange/blue

orange/green

I used a flat razor blade and slice the the entire tip of one side of one type of zoa off then I sliced the head off of another type of zoa and gently placed the sliced bottem into the sliced side of the first zoa then glued into place so they are nice and tight together

will know more in just under a month. I am hoping to have an excuse to learn how to use my new dslr

Thanks Clintos,

I have a pair of Metal's for this tank, 250W each. I'm thinking I'll buy some retofit set-ups and do an ancitic and a 10,000k. I'm also thinking I'll get one of those 48" LED moonlight tubes for the 90 as well.

*bump* for updates on this. I would like to see what's happening after reproduction. I know from what I have seen the offspring will look like the mother depending on what side it came from but I'm wondering if after several months and the mother has had time to grow and become use to the hybridizing that has occured if it will reproduce it's "looks" as well.

The mother is probably around 2-3 months now and I'll take a pic tonight/tomorrow

I'm going to frag off the offspring in order to see exactly what offspring will sprout from him/her.

Sorry, grafting is what the title should say, if a mod can rename this thread?

I lived with a friend a few month's back and I think he might of poured something into my tank shortly after we got into a fight.

They are gravely ill now but might make it, the color is slightly coming back, but they are barely visable. My tank is in good condition finally.

The frag plug with a single 50/50 P.D/N.G polyp:

I sliced him in half and ended up with 2 identical clones, from their each gave 2 offspring

1 being green/purple tie die pattern, the other had P/G swirl's and 2 more with P/G pizza slice missing from a full pizza look of the opposite color.

The zoas were working, until I decided to slice him into the other more, which resulted in him wasting away.

Going to attempt maxi mini carpet's anemone's next.

I have nuclear green and purple death palys growing next to eachother and I have noticed now that a few of the nuclear green have streaks of purple in them. no grafting needed.

i have never seen zs or ps hybridizing how has this projject been going?
any updates?
the nucs and pds are common, all you need to do is have them next to each other, but dont expect a colony of them as they will over time revert back to one or the other

Clintos this is so cool exciting I will tag along to see your results. I have a green people eater polyp that turned half purple and half green but would be interesting to see a mix with brighter colors like orange and green or so. Keep it up and post more pics

if only it were passed down. i think the only way to morph would be to make them bleach and then reabsorb random zooantheline or whatever the algae is called.
