I have several problems
1. The pump that sometimes fails to start
2. Rupture of the skimmer body
3. Dross in the venturi which causes a decrease in air
drawn in, and not counting the leakage of the neck
4. All you have to clean the skimmer once a week
ATI wrong with me
Thanks ATI

Sounds like this skimmer is not worth the trouble. So disappointed.

I still believe in ATI and the Powercone series. I think these skimmers will rock. I just wish there was a release date...

I'm just about to start my new aquarium and it would be nice to know if I should wait for the Powercone, if it's going to be released soon. Or if I should buy another skimmer cause the Powercone wont be released for another month or so.

But without a release date, I'm risking buying another skimmer just before the release of Powercone, which would suck...

Hello again everyone…just a quick message about the ATI PowerCone Skimmer…

For our customers in the US, Canada, and Mexico

reefgeek is the Master Distributor for ATI in North America, which includes the US, Canada, and Mexico. The ATI PowerCone Skimmer that was designed for the US Market is not yet available. As much as we would like to do so, reefgeek has NOT sold a single one of these units. ATI is still applying the finishing touches to the US Version of the PowerCone. Given our quality standards here at reefgeek, we will run our standard preliminary tests on the sample unit from ATI to ensure a working and reliable skimmer. reefgeek will NOT release the PowerCone Skimmers until the testing is complete and the quality is confirmed.

We at reefgeek are just as anxious and excited about the upcoming ATI PowerCone, and we are confident that ATI will deliver an innovative and reliable skimmer.

For any product questions, please contact us directly.

[email protected] or TOLL FREE 866-295-9230

For the European Customers of ATI

reefgeek would like to thank you for visiting and participating in our forum.

Now regarding the PowerCone Skimmer…

As you all may know, we work very closely with ATI, and we are well aware of the minor issues involving the European Version of the ATI PowerCone Skimmer. As mentioned in some posts in this thread, there were some minor issues with the pump. Fortunately, ATI has addressed these issues and has resolved any problems that current users of the PowerCone (Eur Version) have had.

As much as we would like to help out, reefgeek has no way to address any issues regarding the European Version of the PowerCone.

IF you are a current user of the European Version of the PowerCone Skimmer and you are having problems with your unit, please contact your dealer immediately for assistance. We feel confident that they will be able to take care of the issues you may have
.

Thanks again to everyone who has participated in this thread...

To be completley clear - this is official reply form ATI team:

Dear Lukasz,

i fully understand your situation and agree that it is not nice to get new delays anytime.

At the moment I can not give you the final date. One thing is that many shops buy at our wholesalers. We have a lot of pre orders and we want to ship them as soon as possible but we can not make it at one day or one week.
So I can not promise if we will get it in one month but please be sure that we will try our best.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / With best regards

Tristan Rieger
Support - Production managment

and another mail:

Dear Lukasz,

sorry but we have no stock of the new i-Series.

I understand that you are not happy. But if you pay a pre order at one of our customers, that means not that you have paid us for the skimmer.

I fully agree that it is not nice to wait such a long time but I can not make any promises.

No comment. Bye bye ATI.

really sad not to hear any news. I understand its a lot of work with any business, but the faster they come out, the more ppl can try them out!

It said on ONE site in germany that 1 june the product would be in stock, but i have had that for a few different months, so i dunno.

My supplier told me that he should have both the PowerCone 200i and the 250i in stock by the end of this month or the beginning of June. I am however located right next to Germany. I have ordered a 200i so my fingers are crossed!

I have talked to a few guys here in Denmark with the first PowerCone 200. They are all very pleased and say that they are very silent.

Hi Oliver,

Im geting very soon the 250i, and my normal water lvl is 22 cm, so is it ok for that skimmer or shall i elevate the skimmer a litle so it can have a lower water level on its surface?

TY

No, it is not OK. Maximum waterlevel is 20 [cm]. You have to put stand under the skimmer.
