Mr Oliver, I've got a 120G sps tank with medium to heavy stock of fish. Should I get the 200 or the 160. Do you have dimensions of both. Need to know if it will fit in the sump. Thank you Sir!

interesting thread at riffaquaristikforum.de.

Run it through google translate in case you don't understand German.

If I understand it correctly, there is a delay because of the pump change, and now it's going to cost a little extra. For us who already ordered the price stays the same. I hope I got it right as my German is very weak. But so is my english...

I do not think they have been released yet, At least in all the posts I've read they have no info at all on them.

I don't think so because it's a completely different pump.

Hmm ok,
well here in Europe they are now selling the NEW updated Powercone with a pump regulator.
So its now possible to use the 250 with 1000 - 3000 liter aquariums.

I hope we get to try these new ones out soon!
I just wonder how well the Mesh gridwheel works. Hope its not as much work as a "normal" mesh wheel, concerning dirt and the like.

Variety is the spice of life.

The new ATI skimmers do look good.

Hello,

here are some more infos about our new "intelligent" Powercone.

Instead a normal pump we now use a controllable Pump. With this new controllable pump it is possible to adjust the airintake in a wide range from 1000 - 3000 lph. Now, the powercone is not only one of the most efficient skimmer in the market, it is the most flexible skimmer, too. It is very easy to change the speed of the Rotor and to change the airintake of the pump. You can controll the pump manual, via pc and later via internet, also. The controller of our pump comes with a SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface Bus).

I will show a video of our new pump in action, soon.

More features of this controllable pump:

1. Integrated Soft Start
With the soft boot, rotor startup issues are a thing of the past. With the soft start, the rotor is also protected.

2. Monitoring Function
During normal pump operations, if the pump experiences air blockage the pump will shut off. The pump will restart when the issue has been resolved, and it operates independently of the “Soft Start” feature.

3.Adjustable Pump Output
The pump output can be adjusted in a wide range from 40-110%. With this feature, aquarium hobbyists can adapt the PowerCone to the needs of the aquarium and whatever changes may occur.

4.Integrated Air Flow Meter
Instead of a normal silencer we have a professionel Air Flow Meter now. Our Air Flow Meter has almost no air resistance and allows users to monitor the performance of the skimmer.

I will show pictures and videos of a Powercone 250 i soon.

Thanks,
Oliver Pritzel
