Red Brittle star
Just bought a red brittle starfish, although it doesn't have hairy arms so its probably more of a serpent star. Its very vibrant and wasn't excessively expensive. Anyone else ever had one? I'm assuming its reef safe since it doesn't have hairy arms.

I have one in my tank and it just hangs out in my rock work. Every once in a while I see his arms twitching around, but that's about it. I've had it for about 6-8 months now. He just eats whatever he finds lying around I guess, hahah.

I have both a brittle and a serpent in my tank. Both for about a year now. They hide out in opposite ends of the tank and make occasional apperences now and again....however as soon as the food hits the top of the tank, the both come running....quite funny

We picked one up about 2 years ago. It was nice and active for a month or so then it disappeared. About 2 months ago it reappeared, was just as active as before for about 2 months and disappeared again. When it isn't missing it's pretty cool.
