Bumps/Tumors on Blueline Angel???!!!

So, my Blueline has these bumps or tumor looking things on his body. I can't figure out what they could be. I've been running full strength cupramine since September 16th, and just today added Praziquantel as I thought it might be some sort of intestinal worm, etc.

Anyone have any idea what this could be?

It's very hard to get a good picture, and this was the best I could do.....hopefully someone has a clue what it could be?

I cant see them my self but hemorrages could b a bacteria build up.

Thanks for the input, I know the pictures are very hard to see, but it seems to be underneath the scales, so I don't think it'd be bacterial.

I'll try again with a few more pictures, maybe they're better? In the fist picture from my previous post one of the bumps is the discolored spot right above the end of the pelvic fin (about halfway down the fish, on the bottom of its body).

Bacteria can get into the tissue. Is it only on one side?

It is on both sides, but seems to be getting better since adding the Prazi and topping off my Cupramine (it tested a bit low, I guess the claims of it not precipitating from the water column aren't completely true).

Wish I knew exactly what it was, but if it goes away and stays away I'll be happy!

David,

For what its worth...I test with Salifert and read low. I test with the Seachem and read right on....Not sure what kit your using but might want to try the Seachem copper kit.

Thanks Bill. I guess it would make sense that Seachem's kit would read the best as it's their product!

How low was yours reading? I got about 0.35 or so with my Red Sea kit.

The salifert looked to be a shade higher than .25 and the Seachem was right on at .5

The thing I like about the Seachem is they give you a vial of known value reagent so you can test that and compare your color.

I was basing my levels for the Blueline off the Salifert kit......Not saying it was the cause but just might have played a role....Who knows!!!!!!!!!

Easiest way to check the test kit is to add 1ml to 5 gallons. That should give you 0.5 ppm.

I had something similar, but not as noticeable or as long. I proactively treated both my little bluelines with Prazi and Cup and they are doing great.

Thanks, that sounds like a great idea to check the test kit (especially as I can't find a seachem test kit locally). I'll just use RODI water before I do a water change.

So, your BLs had something similar? Please let me know if you ever diagnosed what it was. Glad to hear yours are doing well.

I don't know what it was but it didn't last long and wasn't as big as yours.
