How do you run your peristaltic pumps?

I just ordered 2 peristaltic pumps, and I'm wondering how you guys run these for 2 part.

The pumps I got are adjustable from 6ml-36ml per hour. If I want to dose 10ml of each solution, do I just adjust them for 10ml per hour, and run them for an hour on my controller? Or do I need to spread it out through the day. Can peristaltic pumps run for an hour?

IDK, no experience with them. I have heard that running them 6x a day every 4 hrs spreads outs the dose. I hand dose 40ml each part of B-Ionic every morning in my 40 breeder.

Do you have any more info on the pumps? Did you catch a a good deal? I want a 2-part setup

Definitely spread it out across the day you don’t' want fluctuations in your Alk. I used to run mine continuous when I was doing 2 part but if you have a controller it's probably easier on the pump to run it intermittently throughout the day/night.

I got my dosers off reefshops.com, they ran me about 100 shipped for 2 pumps and a tube holder for the side of the sump.

I think that's what I will do. I read you shouldn't run them longer then 10 mins at a time.

I am still dialing in my 2 part usage, as I am transitioning from kalk in my ato. I'm looking for more consistant params.

I run mine twice a day. I've thought of going to 4 times a day but would have to dilute my 2 part to match up with the flowrate. Even with just 2 doses a day, my corals have definitely responded to the more consistent dosing and alk levels.
