Water change after every Interceptor treatment?

Is a water change necessary after every interceptor treatment? I've heard some that do but on Melev's site it doesn't mention anything about water change just adding carbon and connecting the skimmer. What are your thoughts?

never did a waterchange after a treatment on my 180g. Typically just ran carbon for 3 days and then did a WC on the next scheduled one.

I think it really depends on your water volume. In a nano, the pod die-off could spike up the nits & ammonia, whereas in a larger system it probably wouldn't be so survier.

Yeah I'll probably just do a 10% WC. Thanks for the input.

I have a 180 gallon, did three interceptor treatments about 3 to 4 days apart. No carbon, no water change, and at the end of the treatment, reconnected air line to skimmer. Except for shrimp, and crabs and arthropods, everything else unaffected. Dosed at 2 large interceptor tabs per 200 gallons. Only did usual, once a week 10% water change after third treatment.
