Cool RicardusReef

Hi everyone,

I gonna share with you my new project. I hope you like!

Vision
The idea was create a SPS dominated aquarium with open aquascape, a simple but eficient setup.
For this i want to thank 3 person, Sonny, Andrew aka V1...rotate and Chingchai. Their aquariums and experiences were for me a trully inspiration.

Sump
The sump is a home made by my father and have 80x55x40 (32''x22x16'')

Return Pump
Eheim 1260 for return pump.

Skimmer
I'm using 2 skimmers for this new tank:
Grotech HEA200
ATI BM250

Circulation
Tunze Wavebox 6215
2x Tunze Nanostream 6055 (connected on Multicontroller 7095)

Lighting
Homemade fixture by my father 7x24w + 7x54w
All T5 ftw

The Light configuration, front to back
AqBlue
Blue +
AqBlue
Purple +
Blue +
AqBlue
Blue +

Aditionally
Balling Method using a GHL dosing pump
Carbon in a bag (changed every month)
Prodibio BioDigest
Vodka

I wish I could have a Sohal. I'd like to see his demeanor in a year or two in that tank.

The possible pics

I've been practicing with my brother's camera. It's a Canon 400D, only have 18-55mm lens.

Beautiful tank, this might seem like a wierd question, but I see your dosing Calcium Chloride, Magnesium Chloride, and Magnesium Sulfate, I was wondering what was in the third unlabels container?

Beautiful tank, its only going to look cooler as the SPS grows, very nice.

Thank you for your words.

The other container have NaHCo3 (Natrium hydrogen Carbonat aka Sodium Bicarbonate or Baking soda). In the container has not written anything because I have six in total to use for trade when one ends and 3 of them are not written.
By the way I no longer use Magnesium Sulfate.

Some new pics

For some time that I did not post anything. The aquarium dont have been great progress, but as it did one year already, I'll try to put some news here.

For now, some top down pics taken some weeks ago, with my father cam, a Fujifilm PinePix AV150:
