No web interface, but everything else works
If the temp drops in the fish tank I get a text message and an email alert. But I cant access the controller though the Web interface. So it is working some what. Any Ideas? Sometimes I can get it though telnet, but I don't know what to type once I'm in. Then after awhile it says it has lost connection. Also having issues with portforwarding, but I will save that for another thread.
![]() If you run a windows diagnostics it reads " is not setup to recieve a connection on port world wide web on this computer" so maybe I do have to mess with the portforwarding. I just don't know how. please help. Last edited by Goby-Wan Kenobi; 11/27/2010 at 01:37 PM. |

Did you change the HTTP Port in the Apex? If so, you must append that port number to the address in your web browser's address bar. For example, if you changed the HTTP port to 1234, then you'd use http://192.168.1.50:1234 (substituting in the actual IP address, of course.
You can check or change the current HTTP port setting using the display head. |

Power cycle the unit. Sounds like web server needs to be restarted. I don't know the cmd line for doing this on the apex

Using your web browser, and going to http://192.168.1.50 (or whatever the actual Apex address is), what exactly happens? Do you get "Page not found"? Login prompt, then "page not found"? Something else?
What happens if you go to http://ip-address/cgi-bin/status.xml ? BTW... a telnet session will automatically time-out and disconnect if there is no activity... normal behavior |

Have you tried to reload the web pages? You do that through the firmware update utility, just select 'update web pages' instead of 'update firmware', fill in IP address and port number.
