clam help

At the facility that I work at we are having trouble with some of our smaller clams. The mantels seem to be going back into the shell. I know the pictures arent that great, however any suggestions on what might be causing our clams to do this? There is a little bit of mantel you can see in the shell.

Tank: 2 175 watt halides (i think)
ph: 8.25
sal: 31.2
Alk: 3.55
tan: -.02

phosphate: .01
calcium: 388
mag: 1270

not really understanding yr numbers, but isn't salinity supposed to be 35. yours seems to be around 1.023. calcium is a bit low also
to me the smaller clams all seem to be suffering from pm, as their retraction look similar. but pm is a tough diagnosis to make based on these pics.

lighting is actually two 250 w MH, two 65 w actinic bulbs. I am going to try to bring my salinity up slowly.

How new is the tank set up. That algae is similar to the algae in newly cycling tanks. Smaller clams would be more susceptible to fluctuations. Also were all these sent in on the same shipment and did they ever look OK. Could something have gone wrong in the shipment or could just be a bad shipment.
