Rio Nano Skimmer problem

Stupid thing will not prime. I've tightened the nut, replaced the nut and o-ring. Still waiting on response from TAAM. Anybody ever had this problem?

Yeah held my finger over the top of it for minutes and it wouldn't even start to prime. It's sucking air somewhere but I can't figure out where. I'm just wondering if I have a crack in the intake tube that I can't see. I just bought this this thing and haven't even got to use it. Right now I'm very disappointed with it. I've had better luck with Skilters : (

Silly ? Did you fill with water first mine has to be full of water and you have to have it at a certain water level in the tank . The hold finger over top oh hole. It should prime then. if not you don't have the intake at the bottom assembled right. I have one and it is very touchy .

I can only find one way for the intake tube to go together at the bottom. Thanks for your help though much appreciated.

Took it back to the store today. They couldn't get it to work so exchanged it. The new one is already starting to get bubbles up the tube of the box.
