Optics allows for better control of light output and help to produce a more balanced illumination.

For example, you can customize each fixture should you want 25 deg on the front leds for penetrating the substrate more effectively and 60 deg on the remaining leds for your higher mounted corals where you have a shorter distance to hit which naturally requires a wider spread

Actually this is really great if we can customized each bar...
reason , i ask is because i am doing research for my self for a future unit and i am between sfiligoi and illumina. iLLUMINA doestn use optic lens , cause of irregular growth patern . they also use 3 dif LEds-White LEDs at 7000Kelvin, Blue at 470nm, Royal Blue at 450nm.My main cocern with Illumina is -spead, since i ll be getting new tank 72x34x25.
what i like with Sgiligoi-- first of am using xr for 5 years with good results, it was custom made for me) . since i am profilux user, i really like sfiligoi-profilux interface.
how many bars would you recomend for 34" wide tank?

I'm asking for 60 inches Genesis T5 Fixture that having 6 Led modules with 4 T5's bulbs inside. I hope the price is around the same as the 60" VERTEX ILLMINA 260, then I could go with Genesis LED T5. I think with this fixture it can cover your 34" tank

I do not run Leds by itself since they do not have spectrum in there. It is very good par but In the long time your corals will be brown out.

I think so but Sfiligoi Genesis Leds maybe get good spectrum in there since I saw them increase the RGB Leds (green and red color) to 3.3 watts. You can read this for more information.

I would recommend 8-10 bars depending on your aquascape and which optics you choose and white/blue ratio you incorporate

This configuration with 6 LED Modules and 4 T5's has been asked of us alot the past few weeks and we are in the process of examining this possibility with Sfiligoi. I should have news soon.
