XP2000sss on a 180

I have the pump named in the title, currently running on a 125 gallon tank. Would it be sufficient if I moved to a 180?

Run it on the new system and see how it works out? I believe it is rated for a med. bioload at 180gl but with the addition of sump maybe not? However, once you take your LR etc. into account you might be right on the 180 mark net. To get net subtract 30% from your gross tank and sump size.

It should be fine. If you currently have the skimmer I would suggest running it and seeing how it holds up. I ran a standard XP2000 on my heavily stocked 180 gal tank for 6 months and it held up just fine.

Thanks Jeremy. I don't have the 180 yet. I'm trying to find out prior to purchasing just how much equipment will need replacing if I do upgrade.
