I am having this issue with one of my EB8's as well (ports 3 and 6 on mine). Curt is having me send it in for repair.

He said it is likely due to an overload blowing it out, but I am not sure how with my equipment that would be possible... nothing more than 80 watts plugged into any ports.

What devices do you have plugged in those ports?

Have you tried some higher wattage devices on those two outlets? The two things you list don't draw much power and it might be causing the triac controlled outlets (1-3, 5-7) to not switch. If the outlets you're having issues with work with something like a table lamp, then just move that solenoid and stirrer to outlets 4 and 8 and you should be fine.

Kurt I have tried a lamp and even if its a low draw on the outlet. I should be able to manualy be able to turn it off with the controller. Neptun will repair it under warrenty my only thing is in order for me to send it back I have no way to controlle all the things that are running on it. I have tried localy to see if anyone had on I could borrow but no one does. I just feel like with the amount if money we spend on these controllers they should have some kind of exchange program where they send you one and you send yours back in. For alot of us these controllers are the heart of our system.

Not true. If the wattage is too low (say, less than 5W) you may be able to turn the outlet "on" and "off" via the controller, but the triac outlet will not change state - and the device won't react.

So you're saying that a 60W light bulb plugged in to outlet 2 or 6 won't turn on/off either? If that's the case, yeah... something's wrong with the energy block.
