20g nano powerheads
Hi,
I've a 20g nano with a 80g rated canister filter on it, with a spray-bar return. That's about 200G/h. I was wondering if i still need a powerhead. (it currently has a couple of koralia nanos, but they're more or less crowding the tank. I also have an MP10 which is not being used right now. I was hoping to add an aquac remora nano skimmer as well. So basically, do i *need* a powerhead? or is the rest of the flow enough? |

i would go with the mp10, just to stir things up a bit and give you random flow, will also help with keeping ditritus in the water column, something the spray bar won't do for you.
it will also help blow off algae from the sand and rocks.

I'm a fan of at least two generators of flow in a nano tank. Not for the increased flow but for redundancy. If primary flow fails you have a backup keeping the tank from crashing. Pretty much either of your options would accomplish that. Which you use depends on the corals you're housing and their flow needs.
