I was close to pulling the trigger on some Maxspect Mazarras when I decided instead to go with the Radions, mainly due them being a U.S. based company. Now I have to sit and watch videos of people overseas enjoying their lights while we in the U.S. are waiting for ours...?? Whatever..

That is a good question, why a US made product would dis paying US customers and ship internationally first versus domestic?

We're dis'ing US customers? Seems a bit extreme and totally unfair to say. Our shipments were sent out in order to facilitate all customers getting the product at the same time. It seems some shipments may have made their way through customs faster than expected. We can't control everything, after all.

Wesley, we promised end of October and we delivered to that promise. We've been working literally all-night long in order to keep our customers happy.

As someone who works in the same industry, although not really a competitor of EcoTech, I can vouch for the fact that what they are doing is not easy. Any time you have a new product launch, especially a much anticipated one such as the Radion, you, as a manufacturer, do your best to ensure that product arrives to all your customers as close as possible to the same date. When you sell your products globally, this is extremely challenging. As mentioned, you have to try to anticipate shipping transit times, time to clear customs, etc. and it is not easy and rarely do these things happen exactly as planned. At the company I work for, the distributor that is closest to our plant almost always has their orders shipped last, although they also almost always can go to market at the same time as everyone else. I applaud EcoTech for doing what was right, and not what was easy. Also, most of the readers here have no concept of the amount of work it takes to not only get products out the door ( in almost all cases it is not physically possible to ship to all customers on the same day. You have limitations with manpower, shipping companies, loading docks, etc.) but to get a product like this launched on time. I can personally attest to how challenging this last bit is. I have seen major product launches delayed months by the littlest things (packaging issues, delays on one small component, etc.) There are so many things that can cause delays. I say job well done, EcoTech, on delivering what you promised!

It's no problem. I know that you're very excited and I completely understand. I'm excited as well and look forward to all of our customers receiving their products.

You think this is a big deal, just wait until you release a controller. Hint hint.

I can't wait to get one of these babies in already!! Lol, the initial software seems a bit rough, but I think that is due to me not having a unit actually plugged in.

If this light meets my expectations, which I think it will, I will be buying another mp10 and another radion for my 75g :X

Looks a lot better in Black. Finished painting the top arch and it makes a HUGE difference.

Will do, also removed the center 2 eye hooks so I can show Mr. time more valuable than mine how 2 flat pieces of aluminum look exactly like the d2mini brackets.

Going to bolt L brackets to those holes and mount my MP40wES drivers there so all the EcoTech swag is front and center.

Unclear at this point. I have to wait and get the lights in front of me to see what would be most aesthetically pleasing. Most likely it will be 1" wide 1/4" thick with beveled ends so that the edges of the bar flow into the fixture. I may go with 1/2" wide by 1/4 or use 1/8" thickness depending on how everything looks/feels/holds when the lights get here.

It's a long shot, but I wonder if the screw spacing is the SAME as the AI Sols. If so, I can use the AI hanging kit.

Using the AI hanging kit should not be problem as they use the eyelets that the EcoTech s use.

Hello EcoTech, Marinedepot (and I) were hoping that the lights and the hanging kit would be shipped together. Since they weren't, when will MD be getting them as I already pre-ordered from them and will have lights with no means to hang them?

The only known bug is if you want to put the night time or day time start time at exactly midnight. If you make it for 1130 or any other time you're fine. Other than that you can change the day/night to whatever you'd like.
