Why does weather hate my classroom shroom tank?

So, I barely kept my main tank alive during Irene with a battery powered pump. Unfortunately, my classroom shroom tank was a total loss.

So, I bought a generator that kept my tank alive for the 9 days without power.

I had restocked my classroom shroom tank with very generous donations from Gar, Sizzle, Bobbabobob, and Swanny. The tank looked awesome with purple, blue stripped, green fuzzy, muted florida ric with bright green mouth, green rhodactis and green leopard mushrooms. I then added from my main tank an orange ric and a st. thomas mushroom.

I was just about to post some promised pictures when we got this storm. I did not bring the tank home to hook up to my generator since my school has one. Unfortuanly, my schools generatory broke for three days without my knowledge so Im at a total loss again.

I just cant win.

Captain,

Im so sorry that I forgot to mention you. No insult intended, i just forgot. I really appreciate the shrooms.

Im just really mad that this could have been avoided if I had known that my schools generator had died.

I think im going to the sunday meeting. And thanks again for the offers, but Im going to scrape up some money to buy the frags. I already feel bad that everyone was so generous and yet nature took the tank out already.

Little good news. I looks after further examination that some very small pieces of the shrooms may survive. It looks like the St. Thomas and the muted ric might pull through. I dont think any others will but saving 2 is much better than a total loss.

pm me just incase I don't get back here. I still want to help. Got a couple of small frag pc's and need to trim back a couple of shrooms. My best teacher was my biology teacher in 10th. Boy! I did not understand it then why she insisted I could do better. I think of her often.

Let me know if you are going to be at the meeting for sure. I am sure I can come up with a shroom of some sort to give you. Im not interested in taking money for something for a classroom.

Bubbabobob, charleneatkins and Captain, thank you again for the help. Ive had this shroom tank in my classroom for 5 years without one issue and no losses. Now, Ive lost it twice in 2 months. Pretty crazy. But, now at least if their is an issue, Ill just take the tank home to my generator.

Im actually a history teacher, but I end the year with a "going green" unit and every student teaches the class about some new green idea. I end it the unit myself with a lesson on saving the oceans by not depleting them further. I give a propagation demonstation and then give them the razors for them to slice.

When the shrooms heal, I "pay" them forward to anyone who wants them avoiding taking fresh corals from the ocean and recycling ones that are already out.

Thats a great lesson. Wish I had a teacher like you when I was in school, maybe I would have paid more attention. Lol.
