remote access?
Im having trouble understanding how to set up my linksys router to all me to access the apex with an app or another computer not on my network. I dont understand how to set up a static ip, basically I have no knowledge in ports, masks, assigning IPs....Ive read the unofficial guide but still dont understand how to go about changing all this to work.

"setting up ports"
What your doing is telling the router where to send data it gets that is referencing that port. As far as how to set it up it is different for each router. Go here and it should help you: http://portforward.com/ You need to decide what port you want to use for your apex then set your router. as a example if I used port 1000 as my "pinhole/port forward", then I would use whatever my external ip address is lets say "33.44.55.66" and add that port to the end: 33.44.55.66:1000 |
